How am i suppose to know my computer's windows product key without the sticker attached?

my computer was installed with original windows home xp. without the installation packaging and the sticker, how can i know my product key number? this product key is useful for upgrading, licensing and validation purposes, but i cannot find it anywhere. is there some kind of computer command that can extraxt the number? or some kind of other way to know it?|||Here you go ( 100% free) :

Win KeyFinder 1.72 Final 0.167

Win keyfinder helps you retrieve your windows Xp, win 2000, windows me, 98, 2003 and .NET Product keys from the registry and display it for you.

Usually the keys are encoded and stored in the registry. Win KeyFinder decodes it and also allows you to change Windows XP, 2003, and .Net Product Keys just by pressing a button. It is simple and easy to use.

"a freeware utility that retrieves your Product Key."|||Not a problem. You can download and use the free Keyfinder utility to display your Windows XP's product key. The product key is recorded in the Windows registry. Keyfinder will also find product keys for other Windows products, such as Microsoft Office. You can find it at http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinde鈥?/a>
