Do you keep the packaging boxes when you buy a new product?

Like phones, camera, computer etc etc. Do you normally keep the packaging boxes or you just simply throw it away? I keep alot of them and I think im weird and it doesnt help my room to be tidy lol. Im thinking of throwing them all away tml|||I also keep boxes. It has come in handy for UPC codes when a product fails.

If the box is small, I will take out anything inside and flatten it. If the box is large, I cut out the UPC code and the portion that has the model and serial number. I then tape the receipt to the outside of the box (or portion of the box) and file it in a drawer along with any manuals directions. The drawer has file folders that are labeled according to the item. Examples are: Computer, software, small appliances, etc.

This way, if anything goes wrong with a product, or you need to use or sell the item, you have all the information conveniently in one location and easy to find.

This has saved me more than once with items that fail because warranty info is in the file also.

Also, if you have a collectable, it is worth more if you have the box!

Good luck on organizing.|||i think it's good for a short time in case you need to return the items. i do the same thing, but eventually end up throwing them away. as long as you keep all of the info, manuals, etc. and dont plan on returning them, should probably just throw them away. my wife wants to keep them as well|||hey its nt wierd

they are a big help sumtyms i mean wen u have to pack some stuff lyk old stuff ,wen u need to travel .

dnt keep them in your room keep them in your store room

p.s.-dnt throw them they r a lot of help

take care|||Unless the box is a good size for storage and you have a use for it, i would dump it.
