I want to use a USB cable to take my pictures from my phone and put them on my computer, but how does it work?

I have a Kyocera Candid Camera phone (KX16) and I purchased a USB cable and driver. I installed the cable and the driver, but I have no idea how to transfer information like pictures from my phone to my computer. The cable packaging says that it is compatible with Windows XP, but other than instructions to install the driver it came with no other information. I called my service provided and they recommend I use there service to transfer my pictures to there online picture service for a monthly fee...I don't want to do that. Is there something from windows that I need to get or a plug in for my XP?|||From the manufacturer website:

"Kyocera mobile PhoneTools庐 (MPT) allows you to share information in your phone and computer. Once your phone and computer are connected, you can synchronize your phonebooks and calendars; load, create, and modify ring tones, images, and videos for your phone;"|||connect the phone 2 the p.c. then go to my computer, select disk 'h' and copy the pics and paste in a file on p.c.
