I downloaded Picture Package on my computer, but how do I get videos from my camcorder onto my computer?

I have videos on my Sony Handycam, and I have a USB cord and a cord that has a yellow, a white and a red connecter. I downloaded picture package, but cannot figure out how to get my videos onto the program, or the computer. All I want is to be able to save and edit my videos on the computer.|||I am looking for an answer to this question as well, but I just wanted to let you know that my Sony handy cam came with a black usb wire which you can use to make a VCD (Video CD) with the Picture Package. However the USB cord that you are talking about that has the yellow, white, and red connectors, is to connect your camera to your tv. I read in another question that the best way to get the files from the camera to the computer is with a fire wire. Sorry I don't know the answer, once I find out I will respond again.
