What's the cheapest and easiest way to pack a computer for shipping?

I'm recycling a computer with free shipping, but wondering how much to package the darn thing. Thanks. Note: i do not have the orginal box, it's a very old computer.|||after working for DHL shipping for awhile I've seen more "Dell" boxes than I can think of! go to the electronics store and ask for the styrofoam pieces that go in their shipping or get your own, not the foam nuts but as many hard styrofoam pieces that you can get to pack the box with....|||Free shipping?

just put it in a box that fits and send it off.

The company is paying you to recycle it for the gold in the board and components.

They liquefy the gold and sell it in blocks making hundreds of thousands of dollars for just spending a few hundred in shipping and also the shipping is a tax write off as well as the machinery and workers salary since it is environment assisting .

So the company is making millions annually free!

Lovely isn't it!|||throw it in an envelope and ship it out|||Find a box close to the size of the PC plus at least 2 inches in length, width and height.

Then, put the PC in a plastic bag and pop popcorn (no butter or salt) and fill the box: under, around and on top of the PC.|||Stick it in a trash bag, tie it up, and slap a label on that puppy!|||if it is very old and you are sending it to the recycle bin i wouldnt worry so much about the packing process.
